Health Union has announced the acquisition of Adfire Health, a company specializing in healthcare professional (HCP) data and digital engagement.
This move is part of Health Union’s broader strategy to expand its marketing capabilities, particularly in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, seeking to build solutions that address both patient and HCP engagement.
Adfire Health brings a large database of over 8.3 million healthcare professional records, including 2.8 million National Provider Identifiers (NPIs), as well as data-driven marketing solutions aimed at reaching professionals across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech industries.
The acquisition aims to facilitate more coordinated marketing efforts across both patient and professional healthcare audiences. Plus, it is expected to allow Health Union to enhance its ability to offer integrated marketing services, including programmatic media, digital marketing, and commercial intelligence solutions.
The Adfire Health team will continue to operate as a distinct unit within Health Union, while collaborating closely with the existing teams to further develop these services.
Commenting on the acquisition Health Union’s CEO, Olivier Chateau, said “Together with our own first-party patient data, community platforms and pharmaceutical marketing experience, we will unlock synergies between HCP and DTC marketing efforts, connecting brands, care teams, and highly engaged patients in innovative ways unmatched in healthcare media today.”
