Through a new partnership with Zocdoc, DxCheck visitors are now able to find and book appointments with nearby specialists without leaving the health information platform.
DxCheck’s AI-powered platform offers patients and caregivers clinically vetted information about symptoms, risk factors, potential conditions and diagnoses, and can also help track health and treatment progress over time. Zocdoc’s online interface, meanwhile, allows visitors to find nearby doctors, check insurance requirements and make appointments.
Combining the two, per this week’s announcement, is therefore aimed at creating a more seamless transition between individuals seeking information about a specific condition and searching for a doctor to treat it.
The partnership has several implications for pharma media. On the DTC front, according to DxCheck, marketers will have access to new ad spaces in certain areas of the combined process, and the platform will also offer enhanced reporting on existing tactics in terms of care-seeking and recommendations.
In HCP marketing, meanwhile, DxCheck said that beginning in 2027, it plans to make intelligence about the doctors who are surfaced and geo-aligned to specific searches actionable to its pharma partners. According to the company, along with aiding in marketers’ HCP prioritization, having access to information about clinicians with a higher likelihood of an upcoming, relevant appointment may help brands as they build out integrated care journeys spanning both HCP and patient outreach.
After focusing in recent years on meeting patients and HCPs where they are, there’s now a growing trend in pharma media toward reaching those audiences when they’re making key healthcare decisions: at the exact moment they’re looking for information, seeking care or writing a prescription, for example.
Having access to those high-intent moments could give marketers some sway in influencing important health decisions—influence that may reverberate even further, as patients and HCPs continue to associate certain brands with those pivotal moments in a healthcare journey.
Plus, the data collected at such intervals can then feed into marketers’ ongoing strategies, allowing them to be even more proactive at “meeting the moment” moving forward.
