A new solution from Fullspan Health is looking to provide support around one of the most pressing issues facing marketers today: AI search visibility.
The AIQ tool is designed to help pharma marketers not only measure when and how their brands show up in answers offered by AI search services like Google AI Overviews, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, but also potentially improve that visibility by offering up actionable performance insights.
The technology can be used for campaigns running via any Fullspan Health advertising product, spanning portfolio brands like Healthline, Healthgrades, Medical News Today, Psych Central and Bezzy. Once a campaign has launched, marketers can use AIQ to track how various investments are impacting AI visibility and pinpoint opportunities to further boost that impact with placements among additional topics or queries across Fullspan’s properties.
In Tuesday’s launch announcement, the company touted its leadership in AI search visibility, pointing to recent data showing that Healthline ranks among the top 10 most-cited websites by ChatGPT and No. 13 on Google AI Overviews. Meanwhile, Fullspan’s own AIQ analysis showed that its content appears in an average of about two-thirds of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini answers to queries in key health categories, ranging from common conditions like migraine and diabetes to rare conditions like cystic fibrosis.
“AI is rapidly becoming a new front door to health, reshaping how consumers discover information, evaluate options and decide what to do next. For marketers, that creates a new imperative of understanding whether their brands appear in AI-generated answers and how to grow their share of voice,” Christine Maguire, EVP and chief business officer of Fullspan Health, said in the announcement.
“AIQ demonstrates the impact of working with Fullspan Health by showing marketers how our content and AEO optimization strategies are helping their brands appear, get cited and earn links in AI-generated answers,” Maguire continued. “From there, AIQ further identifies opportunities to improve AI performance and tailors programs and packages to achieve each brand’s unique AEO objectives.”
As more and more patients and HCPs turn to AI for information and support about their health, those search tools have become an increasingly important channel in pharma media.
And, as the space only becomes more valuable, it’s imperative for health and pharma marketers to be able to track how well and how often their content is showing up in the AI tools’ answers—and then take action to improve that visibility as needed.
Amid the race to surface helpful and relevant brand content in ChatGPT and its ilk, the most important consideration of all should be not merely maximizing visibility, but rather ensuring that information is cited and relayed accurately and appropriately to best serve audiences.
