Deerfield Agency Acquires Embedded

Deerfield Agency, an independent marketing and communications partner for healthcare and life science brands, has announced the acquisition of Embedded, a New Jersey-based healthcare marketing and advertising firm. Founded by Dominic Viola and Trevor Fusaro, MSPH, Embedded will now operate under the newly established Deerfield Group, which also includes Verge Scientific Communications.

As part of the acquisition, Embedded’s leadership will join Deerfield Group’s executive team. Dominic Viola will serve as President of Integrated Marketing, and Trevor Fusaro will assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Burrell emphasized the strategic alignment, noting that the leadership changes are designed to foster greater collaboration and integration across the organization.

Embedded specializes in delivering insight-driven brand strategy, planning, and creative solutions for pharma, medical device, and biotech companies. This acquisition enhances Deerfield Group’s capabilities, building on the foundation set by Verge Scientific Communications, which focuses on biotech startups and early-stage pharmaceutical companies.
