In a move that signals further consolidation and specialization within the healthcare communications market, Mediaplus and Wefra Life have launched a dedicated global healthcare media agency: Wefra Mediaplus Global Health. The new entity aims to deliver integrated media and communications solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech clients operating in international markets.

Positioned as a full-service offering for RX, OTX, OTC, and Medtech brands, the agency combines the healthcare marketing expertise of Wefra Life with the international media capabilities of Mediaplus. The agency is being positioned as a single-source partner for pharma marketers navigating both global campaign rollouts and complex regulatory environments.

At the helm are healthcare media leaders Marina Sperling and Adrian Haack. Sperling brings two decades of international media agency experience, while Haack offers deep expertise in healthcare B2B communications. The leadership will be supported by Julian Simons of Mediaplus and Wefra Life CEO Matthias Haack.

Pharma clients such as Roche and Novartis are already among the agency’s roster, according to the announcement. The new unit will be tasked with managing cross-border campaigns, synchronizing healthcare media strategies across multiple markets, and scaling digital tools across the Mediaplus Group’s 25-country footprint.

The agency builds on more than a decade of collaboration between the two founding firms, including the recent integration of CMS Conseil Média Santé in France — now operating as CMS Mediaplus — and the establishment of a healthcare-focused UK team. Wefra Life Mediaplus 2 will be absorbed into the new global unit, while Wefra Life Mediaplus continues as a national player.

Adrian Haack shared their belief that: “Wefra Mediaplus Global Health is far more than just a new agency. We are creating a platform that unites international excellence with deep local expertise.

As pharmaceutical companies continue to globalize their media strategies while localizing content for HCP and patient engagement, the formation of Wefra Mediaplus Global Health reflects a broader trend toward media specialization within the healthcare vertical.
