Doceree has launched co‑pay.com, a platform intended to integrate co-pay affordability programs directly into the clinical workflow. The solution, which is reportedly embedded in more than 150 electronic health record (EHR) systems, seeks to deliver patient-specific affordability options to healthcare professionals (HCPs) at the point of prescribing.

The platform uses Doceree’s proprietary Triggers™ technology, an AI-driven solution designed to surface co-pay offers based on real-time prescription and insurance data. The company shared that the tool is compatible with widely used systems such as Epic and Cerner and does not require additional technical implementation by pharma teams or prescribers.

Why it may matter

Timing: The platform is positioned to address affordability conversations during the prescribing process, rather than after cost concerns arise.

AI integration: Doceree’s technology is intended to provide more tailored co-pay support, informed by live insurance and medication data.

Workflow compatibility: By integrating into existing systems, co‑pay.com aims to minimize friction for HCPs and healthcare IT teams.

The tool seeks to offer the following:

  • For HCPs: A potential aid in facilitating medication conversations by surfacing affordability options at relevant clinical moments
  • For Patients: Increased awareness of support programs, which could help address cost concerns
  • For Pharma: Expanded reach and visibility for co-pay initiatives through in-workflow messaging and reporting

What differentiates it

Unlike post-prescription co-pay tools or standalone brand websites, co‑pay.com is designed to operate within the prescriber’s workflow—alongside existing features such as e-prescribing, printed materials, and patient portals. The platform complies with standards including HIPAA, GDPR, and PHI requirements, and offers performance analytics related to HCP interactions.

Implications for pharmaceutical media

If widely adopted, this type of solution could represent a shift in affordability messaging strategies—from standalone promotional efforts to embedded clinical tools. It may also change how co-pay initiatives are measured, with a focus on engagement within clinical decision-making environments rather than broader brand awareness.
